You can contact the Fire Department by calling (229) 686-3331 or in case of an emergency, dial 911. Burning Permits Please call and check with the City of Nashville Fire Department before burning. Recent Purchase The Fire Department's New Rescue Truck is now ready for calls. A $15,000 Local Assistance Grant was used to help purchase this new truck for the Fire Department. Two older fire trucks were sold to help offset the cost of the new Rescue Truck. Berrien County purchased the two older trucks for the West Berrien Volunteer Fire Department for $10,000. Berrien County then gave an additional $10,000 toward the purchase of this truck along with the $36,000 the City of Nashville put toward the purchase of this truck.
