The Nashville area provides residents and visitors with numerous choices for recreation and outdoor activities. The County Recreation Department offers team sports such as soccer, football, and softball for kids of all ages. Golf, tennis, hunting, fishing, and camping are some of the other activies that are are enjoyed here. Alapaha River: Provides the fisherman in the family, an area for freshwater fishing as do the many private ponds and lakes that are in the county. Patrick's Paradise: (Location - Brookfield Nashville Rd.) This is a new state park which provides public fishing, along with many other activities, for citizens of all ages. Wild Adventures Theme Park: (Location - Valdosta, GA) If you are looking for an exciting adventure, Wild Adventures Theme Park is located just south of Valdosta, GA. This park has more than 50 rides, a variety of shows and concerts, a water park, and an animal park. Berrien County Recreation Facility: (Location - Exum St. off of Adel Hwy) This is a County owned Recreation Facility. It has baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, and a football field. City Parks Carter Park : (Carter street) Fishing pond Heritage Park : (Hazel Ave.) Six lighted tennis courts Beetree Park: (Beetree Ave.) Playground and basketball court Woman's Club Park: (Exum St.-across from the County Recreation Park) Playground Volleyball Court (Exum St.-across from the County Recreation Park) Library Carrie Dorsey Perry Memorial Library : Offers a large assortment of educational material, public comuters, and wireless Internet |
